mnwildpunk Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 I have a badger 200 airbrush and I love how nice the the paint looks after spraying. I have a few questions though 1. I bought mine second hand unused so what should I set the air pressure at? 2. During my practicing I was using acrylic paint and after a few minutes I had to stop and clean the brush because I assumed paint dried on the needle is this common? 3. Can I use it to spray primers and clearcoats?
Mike Kucaba Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Set the pressure at what ever you are comfortable at,and how well the paint is spraying. The paint should be properly thinned (you'll get a LOT on this ). I thin mine as thin as I can and yet get good coverage. Acrylics dry very fast so usually a low pressure is preferred. If you are going to use acrylics a lot,get some additives like Slo-Dri and Flow-aid.Check acrylic products on-line.
