rmvw guy Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 I would never know it started out as a glue bomb! Excellent work!

Jim N Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 This car and the Cutlass are my favorites from this time period. You did a very good job!
Wayne Buck Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Absolutely OUTSTANDING!!! This is one mean lookin' Chevelle! I love it! Never woulda thought this was once a glue bomb. Do you play bass, by chance?
mikemodeler Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Very nice! Black is a hard color to build but you did a great job, nice and shiny and well detailed.
Bartster Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 l really wanted to blast it as a joke, but couldn't do it. Nice save. l've been bathing several glue bombs lately as well. Love the challenge. Almost feels like 1:1 again! Great job!! Bart.
Ace-Garageguy Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Yeah, nice save for sure. Love to see junk turned into a good looking model.
TooOld Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Beautiful black paint and the BMF looks great ! Not that it really matters , but the radiator hose should go where you have the heater hose , and the heater hoses attach to the water pump . I'm not being picky , just FYI .
MichaelJ Posted July 15, 2012 Author Posted July 15, 2012 Thank's guy's, I'm glad ya'll like it. At the time of this build, I wasn't really sure about the plumb&wire , but I've learned from watching and asking from people lie you guy's! (some hands on look see helped too) Thanx again every body! Michaelj...
CorvairJim Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Your Chevelle came out really well! If you hadn't told us that it came to you as a glue bomb I never would have guessed. By and large, I enjoy rebuilding glue bombs even more than building brand new models. (For one thing, it drives some guys nuts when I take a perfectly good, restorable model and cut the heck out of it! But hey, if you can find, say, a rare 1967 kit that some misguided kid built back in 1967 and happened to damage the body a little, and you pick it up at a swap meet for less than a new kit, you don't really feel that terrible about cutting it's roof off and modifying the interior to get rid of the molded-in back seat! Personal experience talking here...)
