Corvette C5-r Daytona Racer color

I just got the Revell 2001 Daytona Corvette C5R kit. Is the yellow a 2001 factory color?

It was intended to represent the newly introduced Millenium Yellow. Being painted in a race shop, and Marketing tuned for high visibility on TV, it may be a bit brighter. By the way, the photo below will show how much more the actual car wheelwells were flared compared to the rather slab-sided kit:
