Harry P. Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Very nice! Those first few photos could almost pass for the real thing. Beautiful!
Scuderia Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 That's so great, looks jus beautiful. I got a soft spot for a showroom build and you hit a home run. love it.
jamesG Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 gotta love those 70's cars, they're built like tanks.
JunkPile Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 The basics + a few extras = mighty fine model cars. Nice builds with both Montes
Miatatom Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Beautiful! What finish did you use on the chassis?
1972coronet Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Awesome replica of a '73 "G"-ride ! Say , is that a 402 or 454 under that Cherry Fire red hood ?
Rob McKee Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Love them both. Really nice detail under the hood. I wish there were more kits available from this generation of cars. Grand Prix, Chevelle, Cutlass, etc.
Drgon63 Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 That Car is spectacular... looks like you took photos right out of the Chevrolet brochure... awesome job.. Tom
bbowser Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Add my admiration. Great job. These cars have been overlooked by the kit manufacturers for too long.
montelsc Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Beautiful build but it looks more like a 74 than a 73 great hubcaps were did you get them ??
Olskoolrodder Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 I LOVE that one!!! I always wanted one of those with therond lights (was never sure of the year, was a toddler when it was new). Awesome build!
my80malibu Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Nice car, I would like to build one some day. Can you tell me more about it? Where did you get the body? is it resin?
Scuderia Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Chassis exhaust bottom of engine and suspension looks kinda like the 86 Monte parts. That engine bay is another story. I'm not sure what the AMT monte stuff looks like
charlie8575 Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 VERY nice! Revell '77 with modified nose/tail on the AMT '70 chassis? Original MPC or AMT kit? Scratchbuilt? Inquiring (and plagerizing ) minds want to know! Charlie Larkin
Repstock Posted July 24, 2012 Author Posted July 24, 2012 VERY nice! Revell '77 with modified nose/tail on the AMT '70 chassis? Original MPC or AMT kit? Scratchbuilt? Inquiring (and plagerizing ) minds want to know! Charlie Larkin Yes! Modified '77 with '70 chassis. (The '74 is a '70 chassis, the '77 is a mixture of '70 and '77 chassis.)
