MoparMarc Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 I guess the best way to make an entrance is to show my latest build (finished yesterday). This is AMT's Chuck Wagon, picked out and bought by my wife that I built for her.......she loves these show rods. Built right out of the box and painted using mainly Dupli-Color spray paints.
flatheadgary Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 i like it!! some people don't, i know, but i do. these kind of show rods were not very practical but they were different. i have several of the tom daniels designed models and i like them all. yours is too cool. nice build.

I know what you mean, between me and my wife we have several show rod kits. Here is a link to the build up of it along with more pics of the finished model: Chuck Wagon Build
RodBurNeR Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 Nice job Marc! I am glad you built this, seeing as how most people buy them for parts. Build more! This is a cool show rod!
RJWood Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 Very nice that your wife built it with you. does she normally build kits or was this just a one time thing. I've tried to get my wife to do a kit, but maybe if I tell her we can do it together, hummmm. No I dought it.

Bob, you know me, I like to be different. Very nice that your wife built it with you. does she normally build kits or was this just a one time thing. I've tried to get my wife to do a kit, but maybe if I tell her we can do it together, hummmm. No I dought it. Well, it started as a "lets build this together" but ended up being her picking the colors and such and me doing the work but she started a new job and has a girl scout troop that she is the den leader of so just having her involved in some way was enough for me. My wife is my official "Color Coordinator" since I'm always asking her for sugestions about colors (she says I'm color blind) on my builds so she is usually involved in most of my builds to some extent as you will see when I post my new WIP here in a day or so.
Privateer Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 I do love the old showrods!! This one turned out great!!
