exesivefire Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Have had this one sitting almost done for a while now, decided to get her finished up today. Inspired by a build in a mag from late 09, one of the reasons I picked back up modeling after a long hiatus. -Revell 32 -Caddy motor out of the revell 49 merc -rear axle from revell 40 ford -front tires/wheels from lindberg 53 ford / rear tires from AMT riviera with the 53 whitewall inserts and wheels. -duplicolor automotive spray for paint.

Harry P. Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Very nice and clean. I like it. If it was mine, though, I'd add a chrome spreader bar in front to finish off the frame.
rmvw guy Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Wow that's a beauty! It's got the right look and I love the Merc hubcaps. Nothing like a 5-window '32, I love it!!!!
CaptainAhab Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Sweet. The caddy hubs are a different touch..
Dennis Lacy Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 I remember seeing this as a project some time ago. It has been worth the wait. Very cool hot rod! Love the whole selection of parts and the shade of blue you chose is awesome!

ssroczyn Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Great Car! Hey did you spray the paint right out of the can? Or did you decant and airbrush? It laid down very nicely, I've been wanting to try Duplicolor myself. But a very nice car all the way around!! Steve
Albie D Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 I love this style! Glad you finished it, came out sick!
