Greg Pugh Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Schnikies!! That's beautiful!Welcome by the way!
Badluck 13 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Thats one of the nicest versions of this kit I have seen....
Guest Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 WOW! That is one sharp '58 Impala Tony! Very nice work on that one!
Ramfins59 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Nice work on this AMT kit. If you liked this kit, you should try the Revell '58 Impala kit.... all the chrome trim is separate pieces, except for the window trim & wipers, and no opening doors, but... the trunk opens.
horsepower Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 (edited) Real nice work. I love the 409. Since I don't see the dipstick, (they are on different sides on the 348 & 409) & the castings on the block aren't that detailed (the 409's have an X cast in the block under the drivers side head on the front of the block) I really can't tell if it's the 409, or a nice 348, so I think I'll go with the kit's 348. Webb Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Nice job Tony. I especially like the color choice! Chris
bowtie1 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Awsome Job Tony!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jeff. Your Best Yet!!! Jeffro.
Steven2 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Beautiful work on the Impala. I've built the AMT and the Revell and they're both decent kits.
crazyjim Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 That is a pretty car and so SHINY :) . Exactly what paint & color is it?
Miatatom Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Stunning! Love the color. Either the BMF work is perfect or you have the steadiest hand anywhere.
modelcarcrazy Posted August 24, 2012 Author Posted August 24, 2012 Hey guys, thanks for being so kind with your compliments. The paint I used was Dupli-Color GM Pewter Met. with a bunch of clear and I polished it out with the millennium 2000 polishing system.
Jantrix Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Since I don't see the dipstick, (they are on different sides on the 348 & 409) & the castings on the block aren't that detailed (the 409's have an X cast in the block under the drivers side head on the front of the block) I really can't tell if it's the 409, or a nice 348, so I think I'll go with the kit's 348. Whatever.
Dominik Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 Wow. My favorite Impala (will give the little finger of my right hand for a real one) and such a beauty. Only say "wow"!
