Ron Cash Resin?

Recommended Posts

Ron died in 2007, because of poor health he had not cast anything for several years before that. Pat is correct his widow is currently selling his personal collection on ebay. Sad for many reasons, he was a very good friend & his products were first quality.

Just looked up his builds on ebay, ashamed they are being scattered across the world.Would be nice for them to all go to that model museum in Utah.

Agreed. Tristate Scale Model Car Club / NNL East bought two models he built, I believe a Thomas Flyer and a Mack Bulldog, and donated them to the museum. Not the most memorable builds of his but we only got wind that his builds were being dispersed once the magazine cars were already gone.

Went to my local hobby shop today and picked up a few kits. One in particular had sharpie on the bottom “kitbash” next to the price tag. Box felt heavy so I asked to open it when I got to the register. As soon as I saw what was in it I no longer cared if the kit was complete or not, the rest of the items were enough for me.

The Karmann Ghia sedan delivery is a Ron Cash piece from ‘93. Not sure if the other KG body is as well, it’s hard to make out what the letters are under the cowl. Based on a few features on the inside of the body I’m going to assume it’s not a Cash body.

The rest of the Cabriolet kit is in disarray but I’m okay with it. Most of the original kit is gone but has been replaced by parts from a pink kit.
