Jason Foster Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Here are the three gasser models by revell that are based off the same chassis and engine. The Austin, Willys Pickup, and Henry J. All were painted with decaned Testors One Coat laquer. Thanks for looking.
cobraman Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Very nice work on what I consider to be difficult models to build well.
surfjunke Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 All 3 gassers are very well done. Beautiful paint. Very clean work. Not the easiest kits to build, either.
Greg Pugh Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 You've got skills son!! Wow! Those are sharp!
Deathgoblin Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Really nice work! I gotta get another one of the Henry J gassers.
slusher Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 WOW, those are painted nice. All 3 are excellet. you do excellent work...
AZ Boy Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Outstanding Jason! The detail and finish on all three are great!
peekay Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Nice work! It takes real skill to get these particular kits to look that good.
moparmagiclives Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Now that is a very clean building style, very clean. And great subject matter. Did you do all three at the same time or ?
62rebel Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 those are excellent! and, to echo the others, tough kits to start with. they're NOT for those with a lack of patience....
Dr. Cranky Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Wow, what a pair of beauties. You capture the look and feel so well. Great work, thanks for sharing.
Jason Foster Posted August 28, 2012 Author Posted August 28, 2012 Each one was built about a year apart. The Austin was first, followed by the Willys and then the Henry J. After I built these, I realized that the class markings on them are not correct. Oh well, they were still fun to build. Thanks for the comments.
tim boyd Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Jason...those are really, REALLY, REALLY nice. Well done; and really sharp paint schemes. TIM
my80malibu Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 (edited) I thought, I could pick a favorite. But after careful consideration, I like them all! By the way, next month is our Clubs theme is Gasser's. If your in Phoenix, you are invited to bring your models, and show them At our meeting. Edited August 29, 2012 by my80malibu
Dr. Cranky Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 I meant trio of beauties. You posted three, I counted two. Such is Cranky math. Regardless, I came back for a second and third look.
checkmate Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Beautiful builds, all three are exceptionally when done.
rustybill1960 Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 (edited) Your paint skills are "FANTASTIC" Jason!! I really like the fogging You did on the Willys! The Decal work on the Henry is really nice work as well! How difficult was the roof graphics? Your interior work on all three is spottless! As are the engines@ How did You get the nice straight edges on the injectors? All in all super sharp clean builds Jason!! Thank You for sharing Later Russ OH! I "do" hope that We will get to see that '33 Willys in the background once it's finished, yes? Edited August 29, 2012 by rustybill1960
Miatatom Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 All beautifully6 done. I plan to do them all. I've got a Willys coupe, just need to add the other ones.
Tom Setzer Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Those three Gassers are both Beautiful and Very well built!
