vintagestang
I am making a model of my dad's '57 Chevy and it had button tuck interior. I have fount a couple tutorials but none like I want. Where do I get leather and what do I use for the buttons? What else would I need to do? If I remember right it was door panels, front buckets, rear bench, and I'm not sure about the rear deck. vypurr59
I have used the cosmetic pads that have the diamond shape on them, glued them to the seats, painted them the color I wanted and then painted pins with the flat head"like sewing pins" and drilled small holes in the creases of the diamonds for the buttons. I will try to find the seats that I did and post a pic
vypurr59
this is a Lindberg 1948 Lincoln that was in my "get to it later pile" but shows the start of my button tufted interior. I glued the cosmetic pads and painted them, just had not put in the buttons as of yet Hope this may help you.
