surfjunke Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 The interior needed some work. The blob of a seat was removed from the casting & a new resin seat with wine bottle foil belts were added. The roll cage was made from Evergreen rod. The side pipes were cut & the side pies were replaced with aluminum tubing. Plastic fillers were added to the front wheel wells. The body needed a lot of work. The casting was pretty crude. It was primed, painted & the color graphics applied. The one was also heavily damaged when my shop was vandalized. After repairs, primer & paint I reapplied the decal graphics again. The kit had to decal sheets, Thank you ! The decals when dry were translucent & had quite a few cracks. In stead of stripping the body, again, I used the decals as guides & painted the red & yellow areas. Again, a lot of work, but worth it & I think it came out nice.
