Its not much but its honest: I finally got the Revell 007 1971 Mach 1 Mustang kit.  Was hoping for the Boss 351 but what passes for the nearest hobby shop near me (68 miles one way, Gundam kits almost twice the number of cars/trucks) only had this so I'm going to have to be satisfied for now.  Got it for $26 which is remarkable as this place always has prices at the high end of MSRP and often more.

Picked up this vintage resin Hornet, off Ebay. It has some issues, but, a lot of resin from the '80s/'90s did. The roof is sunk, is the main one. It's not slush-cast, though. Nor is it overly-thick. That's important! It was much more affordable than a promo, and I needed something to keep this grille/bumper I have, company. Poor thing's been hanging around here, all by itself, for at least a couple of decades!?? It'll likely become a curbside class drag racer.

I had that in my watch list and thought about bidding on it. I wasn't home when it ended so I missed out. I'm glad to see it found a good home.

Stopped in Burnbank's House of Hobbies today.  They had the 64 Chevelle kits so I got one, along with a can of Tamiya spray paint.

I've missed some really great deals, because I was otherwise busy. I ended up bidding before I started work, and was lucky enough that it held! It was only a couple of hours, but I was surprised!

How can you fix the top?

I think a judicious application of heat - hot water of something to the affected area can get it back pretty close. After that fill and fair.

Well...I guess I'll just have t mess around with it, and see what will work. I suppose, worst case scenario, I would have to cut out that area, and rebuild it. If that's the case, I may just write off the money I spent, on it. First, I will try some heat--maybe try warming a heel or toe dolly in the oven? When I get a little time to mess with it...?

Too hot! Maybe try a spoon soaked in boiling water?

Can’t have too many Merit model kits - right?  This is the ancient Lotus XI kit - with those funny wheels / spokes scribed onto clear discs - Bought on line from somewhere half way up - or down? - Model Car Mountain - ok price - this kit is in excellent / unbuilt condition - even the decal sheet looks great - OK i know - its not usable -  ive built two - planning to make a couple more … a certain Lotus Eleven Sebring entry is calling me …

Couple of accessory orders. SpotModel garners several sheets of decals and a set of KMP resin wheels to correct the wheels in a Hasegawa Impreza.

Just arrived.  Rare and expensive Tamiya slot car but I could not resist.  It will become a model of GT40 GT/108 which was a demo car and never raced.  Will replace the chassis, interior, and wheels and tires.

It will join my other spyders.

Well, not today but over the last few weeks I got these from a variety of places.

It's a great pity that these kits can't be found here in the UK.

If you mean the Revell show rods, they can scarcely be found in the US, either. I paid dearly for those and never looked back. The hell of it is that now I have to decide to build them or not...I also have a T-Bone Stake that is a re-builder. Maybe I'll scratch the itch that way. Still looking for the Meter Cheater.
