slusher Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 That’s really nice set up Dusty, I like it.. 1 Quote
The Junkman Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 Its not much but its honest: I finally got the Revell 007 1971 Mach 1 Mustang kit. Was hoping for the Boss 351 but what passes for the nearest hobby shop near me (68 miles one way, Gundam kits almost twice the number of cars/trucks) only had this so I'm going to have to be satisfied for now. Got it for $26 which is remarkable as this place always has prices at the high end of MSRP and often more. 1 Quote

It has some issues, but, a lot of resin from the '80s/'90s did. The roof is sunk, is the main one. It's not slush-cast, though. Nor is it overly-thick. That's important! It was much more affordable than a promo, and I needed something to keep this grille/bumper I have, company. Poor thing's been hanging around here, all by itself, for at least a couple of decades!?? It'll likely become a curbside class drag racer. I had that in my watch list and thought about bidding on it. I wasn't home when it ended so I missed out. I'm glad to see it found a good home. 2 Quote
sfhess Posted June 22, 2024 Posted June 22, 2024 Stopped in Burnbank's House of Hobbies today. They had the 64 Chevelle kits so I got one, along with a can of Tamiya spray paint. 2 Quote

It was only a couple of hours, but I was surprised! 1 Quote

I suppose, worst case scenario, I would have to cut out that area, and rebuild it. If that's the case, I may just write off the money I spent, on it. First, I will try some heat--maybe try warming a heel or toe dolly in the oven? When I get a little time to mess with it...? 1 Quote
Exotics_Builder Posted June 22, 2024 Posted June 22, 2024 My very small haul from a kit sale today. Good prices. Both sealed kits 6 Quote

Gramps46 Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Just arrived. Rare and expensive Tamiya slot car but I could not resist. It will become a model of GT40 GT/108 which was a demo car and never raced. Will replace the chassis, interior, and wheels and tires. It will join my other spyders. 4 Quote

If you mean the Revell show rods, they can scarcely be found in the US, either. I paid dearly for those and never looked back. The hell of it is that now I have to decide to build them or not...I also have a T-Bone Stake that is a re-builder. Maybe I'll scratch the itch that way. Still looking for the Meter Cheater. 1 Quote
iamsuperdan Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Found this over the weekend at a community garage sale. $10 CDN, factory sealed. And of course, I tore right into it to check it out. 5 Quote
