johnyrotten
Between the closeout store my wife loves, hobby lobby and harbor freight, I stocked up. The closeout store has an Amazon returns section, I found some keyless chucks, sand paper, blades, a torch tip cleaner with the drills and 3 packs of liner pens. All a dollar each.

Zen
Picked up an extra Monogram Thunderbird turbo coupe the other day because it was cheap and appeared to have an extra body in the box. Arrived yesterday and to my surprise the extra body is a Mark VII and additional parts. Have never personally seen one of these. Wondering what parts are needed to complete it? Would the pro street Mark be used?

Looks like you could complete the chassis with the tbird stuff, but will need the new LSC for trim/glass.

Are the Corvetes better than the plastic kits or Accurate Miniatures one.

The Trumpeter GT40 kits isn’t the best but the prices have dropped a lot since the knock off Magnifer ones flooded the market.

Yes, the Tbird parts should finish it off plus 5.0 from a Monogram Mustang. Just hoping the pro street LSC parts will fit ok since it's 1/25 scale/
1959scudetto
Got one of the now ultra-rare "British Sponsors" decal sheet from the (obviously) defunct DMC decals: A French slotcar seller had still 2 left in stock. Now I can finally complete my Ford P68:
johnyrotten
More swap meet finds for me. Got these five kits, the "vette was free with the two Nascar kits. It and the thunderbird are built, the vette's ok, thunderbird not so much. Can't complain for five bucks. The two drag cars were had for 25/pair. The pin vises were the big deal, 5 bucks. starrett make really nice tools. I've included the part number in the pic if anyone is looking for a pin vise, and they do sell the separately.

A modeler named mike
I bought this kit cheap knowing that the box was a mess but the contents where all there and perfect. My thought is to convert it into an auto hauler, similar to a wedge truck. I'll definitely rework the box to make it whole again.

Hope to see it completed.

I have two of these in the stash, and one of them is destined to be a hauler also (and the fire fighting stuff transferred to a Ford C-600). I think the A LaF would make a neat hauler, but I'm having trouble coming up with a suitably cool race car for it to haul. Looking forward to seeing your project once it gets underway.

I found these on the internet, possibly the direction I'd like to head in. I got so caught up in thinking about the hauler I never gave the cargo any thought.. ?.. either of these loads look fine but I'm gonna have to do some more daydreaming.
