Dpate Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Received $20 spare parts sprue from meng that took 3 weeks. Unfortunately they sent the wrong sprue from a different kit. Not sure how they managed that when they got QC number, and pictures of the said kit. Sigh………. 2
Old Buckaroo Posted February 7 Posted February 7 These were always sold out when I tried finding one in the early 90's, found one on ebay for a real bargain including shipping. Real American plastic not that soft stuff like now. 7

lordairgtar Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Ollies will be opening stores in Fond Du lac Wisconsin and West Bend Wisconsin. The West Bend store will open on the 12th of February. I do not know when the FDL store is opening yet.
espo Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Now I know where all the model kits from the KC Metro Ollie's have been going. 1
Ace-Garageguy Posted February 8 Posted February 8 (edited) 1/24 Otaki Lambo Cheetah, for about 15% of the average online asking price. Typical light-on-detail older Japanese motorised kit, but as the actual Cheetah prototype was powered by a Chrysler 360 V8, getting some reasonable guts under it shouldn't be too hard. 89AKurt built a hot-rod version of it some time back. mchook Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Vintage double kit builds. After some cleaning they look pretty good. 11
kelson Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Went to the hobbyshop for primer and brought these home.🤠 9
WillyBilly Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I found a couple more orphans at Wal-Mart. So I adopted them! 8

I suppose the tooling for this is gone now, but I'd buy a couple of resin repops if someone did one. 2

bogger44 Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Got these from my brother. He hasn't built in over 20 years and will be getting rid of his collection. He said I could take ones I was interested in, and being I had loaned him some money in the past, this is like a partial repayment. Several were our father's before he passed away. Most are un-started save for the Superbird, Brooks Daytona, and Bonneville. 13

Ace-Garageguy Posted February 11 Posted February 11 ERTL / ESCI 1/24 BWW M1 (Procar competition version) in Marlboro livery. Much more detailed kit than I'd expected, with an engine and decent suspension, should be buildable as a really nice piece. Missing one clear quarter window, which isn't bad for having been rattling around unsealed for decades, and bizarrely the instructions, though clearly correct for the kit, state it's 1/48. 3
