Critter Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 i'm customizing a grill and need a way for cutting with precision? any ideas?
LDO Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 (edited) How about a small mill like a Sherline or Taig? Can you be more specific about what you're trying to do? It sounds like you to want to grind the back off a grille so it no longer looks "solid". Like you want it to look like air can pass through it. IF that's what you want, I'd first check to see if a photoetched grill is available. If no photoetch is out there, I could grind the back off with my mill. I'm about an hour away from you in Kaufman. LOBBS Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 I use a set of riffler files to sand away on the backside of the grill. It can take awhile (depending on how thick the flashed over material is) but it greatly reduces the likelihood that a slip will ruin your grill.
