SuperStockAndy Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Built this one for the Cannonball Run down in the CBP section. Some of the things I tried on this build might have been a bit over my head, so that's why some things look Mickey Mouse But I had a good time building it. Thanks for looking!
realgone58 Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 I don't see the mouse.............lol..............Looks great to me!
A.R.C. Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 A blown 55 gasser.....yeah, thats Mickey mouse. Looks b.a. Andy!!!
W-409 Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 That's sweet! I like those colors a lot! You did fantastic job with it, nice paint and detail. Stance looks good too, I'm a huge fan of Gassers.
TooOld Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Looks good to me too ! Great job and Good Luck !
Lunajammer Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Another nice asphalt burning powerhouse Andy. Glad you made it to the line. Looks good. I'm also glad you learned a few things. Sometimes I don't have the courage to experiment with new techniques or products if everything else is going well.
SuperStockAndy Posted December 3, 2012 Author Posted December 3, 2012 Thanks for the kind words everyone!
rmvw guy Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 That's a tough kit to begin with and you did it justice. The two tone paint looks great and one thing often over looked are the shiny strips on the front fenders and doors on Bel Air models, they get painted over. Nice job with the foil. I like the chassis and really like the exhaust cut-outs.
SuperStockAndy Posted December 3, 2012 Author Posted December 3, 2012 Thanks Ron! For foiling, I just went by what was on the box. I wanted to make the exhaust cut-outs actually functional but I didn't have time for that (I finished on the last day of the CBP).
