budleh Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 well this has been in the maki9ng for bout a year now. between the treatments at the VA and all the other things i have to do, it almost there. i started with a 99 chevy ext cab pickup, bought a 05 esclade pickup(AMT) cut the front end off of it. use a two part bonding agent(the enmale nial stuff power and liquid) and graffed it on. lost of lil fillin and sandind. went to the Paint Station(locaol auto paint mixing store) and looked for some paints. Craig told me that i should do a harly truck theme and put it on ebay . he said things like that go fast. well okay , but might not ebay it though. then i took the suspension out of a racing maonster truck, sorry don't member which one, and started the frame. ordered the tires and wheels from RPP hobbys out of Cali. so its no too bad i guess but will only do one more to go under glass for a buddy of mine that is a harley owner. what you all think?
lizardlust Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 That big sucka is TASTY!!! You did a great job on incorporating the suspension - the height and stance looks believeable, not contrived or clunky. The Escalade front end really works, and the H-D color scheme looks so right(can one DO that if it's not a Ford?). Cool model!!!
