Guys, help please.....I picked it up because of the blown engine, I want it for a street rod and I noticed all the custom parts. I seem to recall someone saying this was a model of a Barris car? Anyone have any info on it??? It looks interesting enough to actually build it,.....

The real car was the Villa Riviera, built by Barris, from a '63 Riv. The custom parts are in the AMT '65 Riv. kit, although I wouldn't swear ALL the parts are there to exactly duplicate the car.

The car was used in several movies and eventually was owned personally by James Darren.

I saw the car in the 90's and it had been repainted blue and was, at that time, owned by a guy in Connecticut.

thanks for the help.....I may have to build this one, even if it is "close enough for a Swiss Naval job". The custom parts really dragged me in.....
