I found a great looking kit (2011 Camaro convertible) but it's only a curb side kit. I was after some advice and comments on whether it's possible to add an engine, and if so, how hard is it; where do I get the engine from; etc; etc.

I understand the requirements for opening the hood, and that's no drama - just have no idea whether it's worth tracking down an engine and trying to install it.

TIA

More than likely, you can bash it with the Revell 2010 Camaro SS 2n1 kit.

yeah, rather then going with a (expensive) resin engine i would try to find a donor kit (for about the same price)

not only will it have the engine and transmission you need, it will also have a chassis so you dont need to chop or fab it

on top of that this will leave you with more detailed suspension parts AND it will leave you with a body you might be able to trade off to a fellow member for whatever parts you need for your next project

This would be the way to go - that kit is plentiful and should be what you need.
