The Styrene Chemist Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Hello folks, Here I am again with my third modern day muscle car (As I like to call them). This challenger will be red with black decals. The chassis has already been done, And I also sprayed the body. Hope y'all like it. Have A wonderfull New Year's Eve. (Where I am is it still december 30th 9:53 PM, but I'm not sure how late it is in America at this moment.)
scalemodelworld Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Looks gorgeous. Can you give details of the kit please? I'd love to build one of these, but I can't find one with an engine.
Edsel-Dan Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 I am surprised to say I do like this. I have one, but need to replace the seats. They are Rubber just like the tires. No Way I will use those!!! Any one cast them in resin? Any of the other AMT kits have Styrene seats?? All I see when I look at that box is JUNK!
diymirage Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 that looks great Sjefke (right, all belgium guys are called Sjefke ) i love what you have done to the chassis it looks very realistic what techniques did you use on it ? (oh and as a rule of thumb, america is 6 hours behind you, some states more, some states less)
The Styrene Chemist Posted December 31, 2012 Author Posted December 31, 2012 Thanks for the comments, This is the best forum so far I've registered to, great people here. I love America... Sjefke. I like that!! This is the kit : It's a great kit. I wheatered the chassis with the dry-brushing technique. Just dip your brush in the paint, and then wipe it off on a piece of paper or something. Then with a - dry brush - you move gently over the chassis until you've got the desired effect. Have a good one.
