Duntov Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Hi there and Happy New Year!!!! I have been working on the Revell 56 Ford PU (Roth Version).... nice kit and coming along very well if I do say so.... Just wondered if anyone has any ideas about the opening doors.... typical sag and drop issues... I am considering cementing them in place.... Any ideas or examples of what you all have done would be appreciated.... Regards Bill (Duntov)
Guest Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 If it were me Bill, I would just make some new hinges for it out of either brass rod or metal wire. Kit hinges always have a lot of slop to them.
Duntov Posted January 3, 2013 Author Posted January 3, 2013 Thanks Roger.... I may do that... the interior (with a little work) is probably worth having the doors be able to open... I have a great set of photo etch hinges but they are more or less for 30's and 40's cars vs the 56 PU..... Thanks again.... Bill
