the weapon x Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 im back ,sorry guys i accidently deleted the old topic. but i have been working still. ill be posting the progess thus far.... thankx
the weapon x Posted January 7, 2013 Author Posted January 7, 2013 Did some wet sanding and some hinging for the first time. hinged both doors and the trunk.
the weapon x Posted January 7, 2013 Author Posted January 7, 2013 had to cut the door panel so the larger part can be glued to the door itself.
the weapon x Posted January 7, 2013 Author Posted January 7, 2013 the beganing part of the door panel/smaller part had to me modified. i cut two separate small notch out so the door hinges cut move freely.
the weapon x Posted January 7, 2013 Author Posted January 7, 2013 since this is a rebuild of a old kit, there is no primer layer. but i still have to wet sand. but this was the first time i was my duel action airbrush to pant a whole body. also FYI..i mainly use acrylic paints. but seeing how the paint layed down,i was really impressed on the comparence of spray cans. idk....i may leave the panned paints alone as far as the whole is concerned. but aslo i mixed bright red and metallic pure gold for the body. i dont have a name for the color but suggestions are welcomed
Dirkpitt289 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 looks like an aggressive project. I'm no where near ready to open doors and trunks yet. Not sure I ever will be. I look forward to seeing more of your progress on this one.
