olsbooks Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Outstanding! Very sharp and crisp. Are those rearview mirror part of the kit or did you get them someplace else? Nice touch having them so "clean" and square. They have always been my downfall on AMT kits.

Thanks Jesse, mirror brackets are are made from small steel wire bent to shape, I have also used paper clips, but this stuff is just easier to cut and bend. The mirror heads are from the kit. Another thing I don't like about some of these old kits is the glass, so I made new windows from clear packaging plastic, everything you buy now comes in it. The windshield took a few tries heating and shaping it but I think it looks a lot better than the original.
