lotno249 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Here is a model I got done with last night. It is called Dirty and is a 1969 Hurst Olds from AMT. I kept the rear-view mirror, side mirrors, and rear spoiler off, I liked how the car looked without them. Paint is Krylon Expresso and lots of pastels to give it the well used grimy look. The inside is just as dirty but in a different way. Stained tan leather and all that, with an outside that's nasty got to have an inside nasty as well. The dashboard dials I filled with Krystal Clear and when they were half dried I poked and messed with them so they would appear to have broken glass. Thanks for looking, DJ
wheaton79chris Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Was it in a barn or out in the field LOL. Nice
lotno249 Posted January 18, 2013 Author Posted January 18, 2013 Maybe a little bit of barn and field. thanks for looking, DJ
Shelby 427 1965 Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Your weathering is amazing, could sure teach us a thing or two!
wheaton79chris Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I remember my papa bringing home a camaro in about the same shape and about a year layer and buckets of blood sweat and tears I had my first car
lotno249 Posted January 19, 2013 Author Posted January 19, 2013 Thanks for looking and the nice comments. I love using pastels and the MIG fixative. It really lets you add some cool effects to all different sorts of models. DJ
Simon Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Great finish! Looks mean, too, it demands respect in the rearview mirror.
