Chas SCR Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 How you cut strip brass or parts and not have them curl up on you?
Chief Joseph Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 You can score through thin brass with an x-acto blade, the same way you do with sheet styrene. Go easy so you don't break the tip off the blade.
southpier Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 cutting blade or back of blade? i've never tried it.
Chief Joseph Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 cutting blade or back of blade? i've never tried it. Cutting side. It doesn't seem like it would work, but it does. Wears the blade out fast, but it makes a nice, clean cut with no curling. Only thin gauge brass, of course. I've never tried it with anything larger than 0.005".
