O.K. Tell me what you think of this. (87-93 Mustang LX Convertible. Now updated.)

I wanted to try to get the LX Hatchback done, before Darin B, and Reliable Resin released thiers, but I do not see that happening, as I am working too much, and it is the busy time for my other hobby.

I was trying to figure out how to make the front bumper for the LX Hatchback, that I was working on. I was going to start with a GT Convertible front bumper. I started on it, and then realized that it would not work, on the hatchback. Well, since I have a started LX front bumper, I decided, that there was only one thing to do. Make a convertible, too.

So here is what I had:

The openings in the bottom, were too numerous.

And I still needed to work, on the beltline.

Here is how it looks now:

Corrected the lower opening from 8 to 6, and gave

it a bit more curve, down and out. (How does it look??)

( Should I have quit while I was ahead? )

Still, needs a bit more work, to the beltline, but it's coming along.

The ends, around the word "Mustang" are there, they

just need to be brought out abit more, with some careful filing.

The beltline/body trim is NOT the same, for a GT, and an LX.

So it will not be 100% correct. But I am going to do my best to make it look o.k..

( I accidently knocked the crossbar out redoing the lower openings. It will be re-installed.)

Still need to re-radius the front wheel wells.

I also need to make the taillights,

and I am toying with the idea of making a rear spoiler,

like the one on the 93 Limited Editions.

(Either that or make it into a 7-UP car.

Anyone know the paint code for those, or a close paint match?)

Thoughts, opinions, criticisms??

See anything that needs corrected? Or More correction?

i'm no expert, but it looks fine to me ,love to see it completed and offered for sale as i would buy a few.

Thanks Kelson, I appreciate that...

On a side note, I just noticed that AF/X N Scale resin has updated thier site, and they now claim to be producing the LX Coupe again. Of course with the reputation, they have given themselves as of late, I would not recommend trying to order it. (Reliable Resin, is said to be working on one also.) But still,... maybe there is some hope for all those people with outstanding existing orders, from AF/X N Scale,... MAYBE ;) .

Here is the pic, from their site.

I have not scapped it yet!! ;)

I have just been too busy, to really give it much attention. Sorry.

I should be able to get back to it in the coming weeks.

Now that things are slowing down, again, and it's getting colder.
