1320wayne Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Well, here are the completed pics. of a special project. This is a build of a 52 Chevy two door sedan for a co-worker. The wife of this co worker has an uncle that is dying of cancer and back in the day he owned and drove a 52 Chevy. So, they asked me to duplicate his car, to the best of my ability, so that it could be presented to him while he is still with us. It is not a completely accurate 52 Chevy but close enough to please a dying man. I combined a 51 Fleetline with a 51 Bel Air and basically went from there. The final details replicate what the car looked like back in the 50's right down to the vanity plate that was created from the Acme license plate web site and reduced in photoshop. The Olds. Starfire hubcaps are items that I cast in resin and then some simple detailing under the hood. He always carried a guitar so one was created for the front seat and there were two checkered flag pillows in the back window. Thanks for looking.
