There was a great post on here somewhere by someone who worked at Revell when they released these kits:

Well, the MT one anyway. It discussed some of the descision making processes around the release of those kits and gave some info on the story of their development. Anyone recall who posted that? I wanted to read about it again now that I've got the kits, but cant quite seem to find it right now
