Abell82 Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 (edited) I want to make a 1967 Beaumont. Similiar to this one. I plan to start with the Revell, 67 Chevelle SS, but how do I make a decent front grille?? Does anyone offer one in resin? How about the rear end, and taillights? The taillights appear to be quite similiar to a 68 Roadrunner? Anyone ever made one of these? Advice? Tips? Anything at all? Edited October 15, 2007 by Abell82
Phil Patterson Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 The headlights remind me of the 66 Buick Skylark, though you'll probably have to scratch build the rest. I've got a similar project going on and off making a non-XL grille for a 66 Ford Galaxie. Unfortunately I managed to misplace my 70% done project and will have to start over...sigh. Good luck! Cutting small details out of thin Plastruct sheet may work, but I'd invest in either a magnifying glass or monacle!
VW Dave Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 I'm not sure how well they'd fit, but those individual headlight trims look an awful lot like the AMT '72 Nova ones; if they'd work, all you'll need for that portion is two spare Nova grilles....and I know I've got one that I wouldn't miss.
Lyle Willits Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Go to this link for more reference pics of a '67 Beaumont. Pics begin with #7. http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/car_shows...yland_chevelle/
