Just recieved the new Tamiya 1:12 Porsche Carrera GT full kit.....

...WOW! I had previously said the 1:12 Enzo may be the best mass produced, plastic kit ever....I think this one is even better! Amazing detail and complete working metal pushrod, double wishbone suspension system much like a F1 race car.

The only problem with both the Porsche (and Enzo) is having to replicate the massive use of carbon fiber. If I decide to do that, it will require several sheets of ScaleMotorSports CF decals and a load of work. I'll need the patience and skills of David Thibodeau to do it right........

I would love to see a nice build up of this kit with some picture's, it look's pretty incrediable.

BTW, it has a full cast metal floor pan...should make the car feel weighty and solid.

I haven't seen the MCM, but I supect it is....it has a list price of $723.00. I paid $294 ea plus shipping which was about $50.00

Can we get some pictures of this? I love the 1/24 Carrera GT and have built several, with more in the stash. I'll probably never get this 1/12 scale version but would love to see what you get in the box.

Picked mine up this evening and all I can say is wow. Really nice. One thing I liked is that the Photo-etch for the engine lid is pre-formed. TO me just doing a box review it is on par or better than the Enzo.
