ERIK88 Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 I just or done sanding off flash, primered again and ready for paint , below are the wheels I will be using.
ERIK88 Posted May 25, 2013 Author Posted May 25, 2013 (edited) Yes they are from this kit below, I had this kit back in the early 2000s , unfortunately the wheels and exhaust were all I could recover ;(. The exhaust detail on this kit is nicer than usual, which I will be using on a 96 amt mustang svt cobra. The paintjob on this one will be a red color, maybe a testors gloss red or some other type of common factory color, if you guys now of some, that would be helpful! as well (light colors only for this one). I was also looking online, and it seems that many of these 92 mustangs had white interior. I wanted to do a satin black interior, but I do not know if it would be factory correct. Im sure they've had all black interiors as well. This is just going to be a regular everyday driver, thats been customized mildly with a nicer set of rims to improve its looks. Johnny1973 Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Eric, depending on the color combo and person that is ordering the car.I have seen Red/Blk interior before.I have the 92 Mustang dealer brochure, the GT was had two reds Medium Red and Bright Red and you can get both with Black interior.I hope this helps you. John
ERIK88 Posted May 25, 2013 Author Posted May 25, 2013 cool ! thanks, that sure helps a lot. I think Im going to go with bright red/black interior.
Johnny1973 Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Eric Scalefinishes has paint that you will need if you are using an airbrush. The Gt also came with and optional Titanium Lower Accent Treatment. Two reds that came with option was Medium Red and Wild Strawberry Clearcoat Metallic. John
Johnny1973 Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Eric Here is the 93 Cobra interior.I was embossing powder to it look like it had a cloth interior
whale392 Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Wild Strawberry is a very nice color, and was seldom seen with the Titanium lower. Black was an interior option in 1992 for any exterior color. Being that Wild Strawberry isn't readily available for finishing this kit, though, I would look into Vibrant Red, Bright Red, or the Maroon color they had available. Or if you really want to go with a stopper (and the color was optional on 1:1s and is in the Testors line), go Calypso Green top with Titanium bottom.
