Richard Petty's 1988 Pontiac

This is a build I did of Richard Petty's famous crash from the 1988 Daytona 500. The first picture is the reference shot I used.. And yes, It was fun as anything to build this one! I get more comments and questions about this build than most of my others...go figure....

I have this one, along with the Allison Buick in a display because they're both from the 1988 Daytona 500. Great race....

Thats very cool build...I cant tell the difference from the reference shot and the model. Great build on this. I have that race on tape....kinda makes me want to watch it!

That is sweet!!! I think i remember watching that race with my dad ( I was 7). that is the race he cartwheeled down the fence, right?

Thanks for the compliments guys! I appreciate them! Yes, this puppy barrel-rolled many times against the fence, then got clobbered by (i think) Buddy Baker when it came to a complete stop. Crazy.....
