SIL-EIGHTY Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 Hey guys, (I hope I used that term in the title correctly) Anyway I just ordered a 1983 Honda Civic 1/24 scale model http://www.tamiyausa.com/items/plastic-model-series-20/1-24-scale-sports-car-8000/honda-civic-hatchback-kit-24051 And I want to put an engine as well as the other components that are needed to pull off a good look for the engine bay and such. I also want to use these rims http://www.modelscientists.com/products/1-24-18inch-bbs-rs-replica-wheels-w-stretched-tyres I'm still thinking about what color I want to paint the exterior..think I might go with a two tone Black/Grey. I want to use colors that are used on actual cars too But my main point if interest is putting an engine in the car. Thanks! If I wasn't specific with something, let me know.
SIL-EIGHTY Posted June 2, 2013 Author Posted June 2, 2013 Also I am, still thinking about the interior colors too.
Erik Smith Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 You can probably get the Tamiya Prelude kit and use a lot of the underhood items for the Civic - I don't know if they would be exact replicas, but it would save scrathcbuilding all the little parts. Here is the Tamiya Prelude with engine (pretty easy to find): Here is a Nissan that was a curbside. I scratchbuilt most of the underhood items as it is 1/32 and the engine bay - evergreen stryrene mostly:
SIL-EIGHTY Posted June 3, 2013 Author Posted June 3, 2013 Oh ok thanks a lot man. And that Nissan looks very nice
