Ben Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 I have a 1/32 Monongram Super Brut funny car that I built when they first came out in the 80's. It's built very well but I left it in the metallic green that the body was molded in and only sprayed the black on the rear of the body. I then applied all the decals. I need a really good clear coat that won't attack the bare plastic or harm the old decals. Any suggestions?
Edsel-Dan Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Future Floor finish should do the trick Many use it on the windows!! I tried to apply Tamiya Acrylic clear to a Monogram 58 T-Bird and it crazed/frosted the bare plastic!!
sportandmiah Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 If you tape up the windows, tires, etc...you could use Rustoleum Crystal Clear from the can...home depot has it....just spray a light mist coat, 15 min flash, another mist, 15 min flash, medium coat, flash, gloss coat, etc....wetsand and polish.
