FordSlotMags.jpg go back to 1995 I just bought a 79 camaro and had stole a set of these rims off my brothers smashed 71 camaro. Now I'm looking for these rims in a kit and then what would be the best way to reproduce this look?

If it's the blue Revell kit, no, it's not the same kit. That one is a 1/25 scale and has the Disk Brake/Rally wheel. The Monogram is the 1/24 scale Chevelle with the flip-nose front end, and was done in red or black. The red one has the wheels you're after, as the black on has Centerlines. Here's a pic of the kit I'm talking about (pic sourced from the DPMCC site)

Revell ' 41 Willys , strip the chrome and shoot a couple of light coats of Testors Aluminum Metallizer on them .

Or you can just spray Testors Dull-Cote over the plated wheels for that aluminum look. It also works great on plated Moon tanks and front bumpers that you want to look like aluminum as well. Moon tanks are spun aluminum and never chromed anyways.
