Mr. Can Am Garage Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Well...once again, Jackson and the boys managed to get a finished project out the door just in time for the promised delivery date. This is the old Monogram kit painted with Ford Calypso Coral, DC Cream for the accent and plain old Testors enamel brown. All ready for delivery to Norbert (the kind older fella who gladly lent his knowledge) just in time for the 4th. I had great fun building it and encourage anyone and everyone to try their hands at a classic car if you haven't already.
Zoom Zoom Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Very classy 8) Don't see them built very often. I have a couple of those models to build as well; one will be stock, the other an open-wheel vintage racer like one that's displayed at the Citizens Motor Car Company, a still functioning Packard dealer (for service and restoration) and museum in Dayton, Ohio.
MrObsessive Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Man Oh Man! Those "Depression Era" classics sure did have a presence on the road! I'd love to drive something like that! That's when saying you had an "Automobile" as opposed to a "car" meant something! Fantastic Job John!
Mr. Can Am Garage Posted July 4, 2006 Author Posted July 4, 2006 Thanks guys! I've got a "few" more to build and the next classic I'll be building is a Caddy V16!
Billy Kingsley Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Fantastic work, John. It looks like a Concourse winner!
Tuffy's Garage Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 Nice job on that car. My only question is where is Jackson he isn't in the pics? Sleeping after that marathon build. Again nice job Charlie
