I would like to see the articles that were in the Oct 1963 and Feb 1964 Car Model Magazine on the Sty-Ray custom Vette. Reportedly it was done in fiberglass.

HI Len,

I have the mag on the left , and maybe the one on the right. I can't find either right now, but I have the contest annual from the day.

It states that the car was formed in clay and a mold made then a body was formed in fiberglass. The running gear was XKE Jag and seats from a Riviera kit. I don't remember any "build-up" article about it in any of the two mags that I can't find.

Hope that helps!

Thanks so much Mike. I didn't know any of that information. Do you know if it started as a 63 Vette?

Any reference to it being Sting ray based I've never read. If I recall correctly , the builder was quite accomplished at

scratchbuilding having been in the Fisher Body guild contest earlier.

That will make it very tough to build if I have to do a body buck 1st.
