best Color Laserjet printer for the money for decal making?

Recommended Posts

You can find several for under $500. My determining factor is the cost of the toners. Microcenter.com has a good selection, and you can price the toners. I have used the Brother and the Minolta at their store, and tested printing decals. Both printed what I had with good results. I still haven't decided which one I will get, yet.

I don't have a laser jet printer but I have a very good Epson Inkjet printer. I use the Papilio Mark II inkjet clear water slide decal paper and it works great with the inkjet ink. I wait a good while and then spray the decals with a clear spray and then let that dry. Works great for the decals I want to copy. I used to race the dirt oval r/c cars and they worked great on them. Now I am just getting into 1/25 models and using them on some Nascar cars still in the box from the 80's. Their website is papilio.com to order or more info.
