Hi,

My first post, so Hi!

Im working on a Revell Pete 359, and going custom! Ive made the chassis frame and added about 1 inch to the length and plated it over for the smooth look, the cab, hood and sleeper have been modified to sit lower on the frame, and Ive chopped the doors to Suicide style!

Its looking a bit rough, and the doors aren't clipped into place for the photos and they do line up when correctly fitted. Im thinking Gun-metal for the wheels and tanks, maybe the chassis as well and a black or dark multi effect paint for the bodywork. Needs a good dark name as well though!

Got this back on the bench now, I have some resin bits on the way for the rear wheel arches, but in the mean time Ive been sanding, smoothing and plating over areas!
Custom sun visor on the cab done as well. The whole lot needs a dose of filling and sanding now but its coming together!

The cab hood and sleeper sit a lot lower on the chassis to give the long low look, the cab doors hinge backwards, suicide style, and inside the driver has some sports seats from the spares box, and a gun as a custom shifter!

the revel kit built straight from the box really doesn't have a nice appeal to it, but being built as a custom as I have seen , as with yours , made me grab one (post pics later). the best advise I can give anyone wanting to customize trucks would be to contact a chrome and custom shop and have them send a catalog with pictures. I use one for reference, its a great thing to have. john

Very cool! Like the gun shifter a lot! Clever. Maybe use horse tack/cowboy stuff for some interior stuff like spurs, bits, bridles, and that sort of thing?

For what it is worth, I picked up a spray can of Krylon "brown boots" satin finish. Has a nice leather like finish.
