Testors Lacquer, Hints

My wife bought me a Hawk 1/4 scale Hemi Super Stock engine, I was going to fill the screw holes and paint the engine Chrysler Engine Red. The only paint I found at the LHS is the new (to me at least!) Testors Lacquer. The LHS was out of the Testors thinner, so, can you use regular lacquer thinner, or do you need the Testors? Can you decant the spray cans like Tamiya, and airbrush the paint? any and all help will be greatly appreciated, thanks, Joel. An old time modeler, but a rank newbie to this forum.

You can thin the Testors paints with lacquer thinner, and yes, they can be decanted and airbrushed.
