Around 4 AM this morning as I and other residents were sleeping, a drunk was wandering around the floor of my apartment building banging on people's doors including mine as he was screaming to no end. The police came quickly after someone called them and the drunk was wisked away in cuffs. My building is normally quiet with the vast majority of the residents who are decent and have jobs. What happened this morning is a rare occurrence thankfully.

I get moles every so often. Use the hose method to catch them which sometimes takes a couple of weeks and sometimes just a few days. Toss it in a 5 gallon bucket and walk to the creek area and dump it there.

Went for what I thought was going to be a nice relaxing hike yesterday, and of course the sides of the trail were littered with the now ubiquitous little plastic bags of dog owners' brains.

But the most maddening was the little 6" box turtle someone had stomped to death, left in the middle of the trail, covered with flies.

No question about it being a "natural" death with a shattered shell, and not a "predator" kill, as there were multiple sets of boot prints around the thing, obviously from a joyous killing dance.

While we do have wild coyotes capable of getting into a turtle shell the size of the one on the trail, they don't wear boots, nor do they smash the shells flat and leave the meat inside.

I hate evil, stupid people.

That's just terrible. What a sick person to get pleasure out of something like that . Why ?  May they get stomped on someday.

The same type of people that set cats on fire, throw puppies off of buildings, etc.

A special ring of hell...just saying.

i have stopped and picked up turtles ? in the road and move them to the other side of the road so they wouldn’t get hit.

Me too. I think any decent human being would.

But I've seen people intentionally swerve to hit cats and squirrels and other animals on the road, too.

I would be a murderer many times over if I'd done what I felt like doing to filth like that.

Funny how a human life is supposed to be so much more valuable than an animal's, but to the best of my knowledge animals never kill or maim just for "pleasure" like some people do.

I agree with you and have seen the same thing….

Ace... you want to talk about stupid people? A couple weeks back 3 teens were arrested for capturing, killing AND eating a swan at a Manilius Park in Syracuse. The swans were iconic staple in that pond for years. The teens thought it was a... ready for this?... a duck.

Yes, the swan was shared with their family. The parents must be proud.

But jeez Louise.... they can't tell the difference between a swan and a duck????

How many parents of "city kids" know how to clean a "game" bird?

I'd bet next week's check the family is a recent arrival.

Yes, Yes they were. And not from someplace with a name you would recognize.

And "Teens"?

17-18-19 I believe.

Someone stole a customer's Explorer from our service drive thru overnight. Tried to steal the Escape but failed. Drove through a service counter, and now there's cash all over the floor. Have no idea where that came from. Or how they got the cars, as keys are not left in vehicles. The cops are here, so I'm guessing they're on it.

So our service department will be delayed in opening this morning.

Definitely not a good way to start off the day. Hopefully surveillance got some good pictures of the thieves. Doesn't sound like they were too bright if they damaged a car they were trying to steal.

Speaking of security cameras, when the HD cameras (and DVRs) can be had for almost nothing, most security camera video shown on the news looks  like it was taken with equipment from the 1960s?!  Just either unrecognizable dark blobs, or so fuzzy that you can barely see that it is a human.  What good is security video when you can't recognize the criminals?

Ironic that the Escape…didn’t

Why’s it sitting at that jaunty angle?  Did they get it stuck in a service pit or something?

Wrenched my back somehow on Saturday. Missed a Father's Day car show with friends on Sunday, couldn't work yesterday.

Getting better today...but man, damm.

Hope your back is doing better. Really makes it hard to function when you hurt your. Been there, done that, and gotten the t shirt.

Yup! Somehow they drove it into our Quick Lane lube pit!

Guess that's somewhat indicative of the reason they're probably not gainfully employed, eh?

These guys aren't the sharpest tools in the shed for sure!

They left their BMX bike, a backpack, and a small cooler too.

And when they took out the service counter, the managed to bust open the till, and in that one pic you can see cash all over the floor. Which they of course left behind.

They had a plan, and they strictly followed it!  Neah, that would give them too much credit.  :D

Pain that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy?.This actually happed to me a couple of days ago.I was simply walking around my house in my socks.I walk into my bedroom.I go to turn the light on,but the light bulb blew.Ok well i have another light on the other side of my room.So i’m like ok just go turn that light on.However as soon as i took my third step in the darkness,I slipped on something, causing my left foot to get completely twisted, and twisted my ankle so bad.My body just gave out,and i went down like a sack of dirt, and saw stars..Ok sorry,I’m rambling.Well after I headed to the doctor,he took an X-Ray.Welp the result is a bunch of torn small ligaments,a couple of chipped bones in my foot, and a horrible twisted ankle. Now it’s completely swollen and is throbbing.Just for slipping on a piece of paper in the dark.Arrrrrrggggg??
