eBay Motors.  "Over 100 million parts, ALL of which will fit EVERY car you attempt to do a search on!"

Yup, a lot of truth in that, and one more reason I'm really beginning to despise eBay.

It's maddening to have to dig through idiot listings that have pretty much nothing to do with a search...and it's not just car parts.

Whoever designed how their search interprets search criteria and displays results pretty obviously knows nothing about anything.

I'm thinking eBay operates with the same mentality that supermarkets use when, every year or so, they move some items from one aisle to another.  The thinking seems to be, the longer you are in the store, the more you are likely to buy.

I can see how one could come to that conclusion, but there are so many functionality issues on eBay now that HAVE to be the result of sheer widespread incompetence, I kinda doubt it.

My 70 year old Work-a-holic Boss is a Micro-Manager. Every Decision about even the smallest things, must go through him. He is not a bad guy really, but very old school. He introduced me to his longest serving employee, with the Semi Humorous Quip, "This is Fred. I've Fired him three times". Now that I've been there 2 months, the humor is gone. And, I am beginning to question how smart Fred really is.......

Anyhow, I tell you that, so you can understand this. When the Boss is not in the office, no real decisions can be made. So if he is gone, no NEW work can get done. Of Course, already planned work goes on. Because of this, he seldom takes time off, and does not call in sick. So, All last week, and the Monday and Tuesday of this week, he has been in the office, coughing his fool head off. Hacking, dry cough, that hits him so hard, he had to stop phone conversations to wait until the coughing stopped. Wednesday, I left for Cataract Surgery. It has been planned for 18 months. The surgery it self went well, seemingly, but by Wednesday night, I HAD a cough. Fever, and runny nose too. I've been fighting it since then, and I'm still not well.  Today, my wife is sick too.

This afternoon, I get a text from a co-worker. He tells me the Boss and his wife have been diagnosed with COVID. Oh Great!

My wife and I get tested for COVID tomorrow. Not sure If I am going back to work Monday, or not.

P.S. The Cataract Surgery seems to have worked but my vision now, is worse than ever, and now my glasses do not work.....

I am told this is normal, and things will get better in a few weeks, but I'm discouraged right now.

Went out this AM to feed the ferals and saw the mother of the abandoned kitten I'm taking care of dead in the street right in front of my house.

She wasn't there last night at 11:00 PM when I brought in the food bowl so the raccoons and possums wouldn't get it.

The street I live on in very lightly traveled, especially at night, and only by neighborhood folks and a few shortcutting between two major streets, so whoever hit the thing could have easily swerved or braked to avoid it...but I've seen some recent "new demographic" residents actively TRY to hit animals around here.

In 60 years of driving, mostly too fast, I've NEVER hit a cat.

I hate careless evil stupid people.

At my ripe old age, I've known many people who have had cataract surgery, and they all, every one of 'em, experienced the same thing. Hang in there. Everything will be much better in not too long.

There is no reason to kill any animal for just running them over.  I stop just to get turtles out of the road.  Saw one turned over and dead and i wondered if someone did it it was on the side of the shoulder on level ground.

So, Wife and I take our Covid Tests. We both test Positive. We both feel like we've been rode hard and put away wet, to use the phrase.

We managed to make it from 2019-2024 without ever getting sick, and now this...

I am beyond angry.

Called the Boss. I am to remain at home until I test Negative. My Adult Daughter will take my Wife to the E.R. tomorrow for Meds, and to get a stack of Covid Tests. I'll call the VA and see what they advise.I may not go to work at all this week.

Ugh. This is Not Good.

Thanks for letting me Vent!

I agree with you about not running over animals. I have run over more than a few squirrels, and I'm trying to not hit them. There is a reason the term "squirrel" is used to describe someone who is, well a squirrel. Yesterday we went to my wife's favorite Mexican restaurant and encountered several dead raccoons, skunks, and a few unknown carcasses on the roadway. We live in a rural area with no streetlights or sidewalks, so the roads are dark at night and the nocturnal animals are out moving about. I hate to see this but I'm thinking that with a minimum exposure to vehicle traffic at night some of these creatures just don't know how to react to an oncoming car.

Back in the seventh decade of the twentieth century I worked for a large home developer. Now a Wall St listed company.

I had picked the big boss up at the airport and he wanted me to swing by one of the developments so he could see some progress.

We we’re on the main road in the development and we came around a corner and there’s a box turtle in the road. Suddenly one of a contractor’s dump trucks comes the other way and purposely ran over the turtle right in front of us!

Mr H was livid! He told me to turn around and chase the truck. So here I am behind it honking and flashing my lights and the driver gave us the finger.

Mr H said he got the truck number off the back and he knew which companies truck it was. So we turned around and went to the constraint trailer where we were originally headed.

He went inside, with young timid me on his heels, and all hell broke loose. He had the construction super call the company on speaker phone and the whole office heard him fire that company!  I’ll bet that driver lost his job when he got there!

Not that long ago on a hiking trail, I came across a little box turtle that had very recently been stomped to death.

Multiple sets of boot prints around it, so it was obviously several people who thought it was fun to smash a defenseless turtle.

I'll spare the board the rest of my thoughts.

I have been using an eye-drop for glaucoma for a few years. I get it from a prescription mail-service, who shall remain nameless. It is supposed to be on auto-refill. Last night I used the last drop, so I went to my storage refrigerator and realized I did not have any more. Have been trying all day to contact them and cannot get on the website nor can I get a phone call through to them. I am irked at myself because I didn't realize I was getting low and should have contacted them. Yet, I depend on them to auto-refill my prescriptions or notify me if there is any kind of problem and neither has been done. Hopefully tomorrow they will be back in contact mode, but even then, I will be without the medication for at least three or four days.

The reason for seeing so many it’s mating season.  We have side walks and street lights. I stop or slow down so I don’t hit them. Some just don’t care..

I cannot see making an effort to kill something when it can be avoided.

I always slow down to avoid hitting squirrels and cats. In a of my years I only hit one squirrels. I was driving on a road at 35 and he darted out a couple of feet from the front of the car and there was no way to avoid hitting him. I felt terrible and hoped he died quickly.

My wife is starting to think that a few local rabbits may be on the endangered species list real soon if they don't leave some her flowers in the flower bed alone.

I cannot stand all the body odor commercials.Lume,Mando,etc,etc.Clean your pits, privates, feet,or wherever you have BO🤮…Hey,here’s a great idea,,,HOW ABOUT TAKING A %#+&@ SHOWER!!??.Yes we all have BO,but enough of all these copy-cat products with their disgusting commercials.🤮🤮🤮😤Sorry,I’m just so sick of them.Seems like everytime i put the tv on,there’s an ad telling us how much we stink.I read this review, and thought it was hilarious..

I think the Lume lady has a gross-out fetish. She literally seems to be getting off on describing disgusting notions in great detail and shoving it in our faces without warning. If she could reach through the television and shove her putrid fingers down your throat and make you puke, I have zero doubt she'd do it without hesitation”😆😆

I was just telling the wife this very thing the other day when one of these stupid commercials came on. Told her we've been getting along just fine all these years taking a shower and wearing clean clothes with a bit of pit-stick under the arms. Stop already!

Anyone else remember when Carroll Shelby was riding high with his original Cobras and GT350s, and was selling other stuff like shirts, jackets, and beer glasses?  He had a deodorant too...called "Pit Stop"...

🤔°°Poison.. After finishing the 6 day Prednisone Rx along with the shot I noticed that little bumps were starting to form in the crotch of my fingers, on my fingers and around my wrist. It was starting to become pretty itchy before bed so I washed them and applied cortisone max strength.  At 5am I was awaken with what felt like fire ants engulfing my hands.. I rubbed and scratched and did whatever it took to try to satisfy the itch to the point they started to weep. I have never felt such a uncontrollable itch with that intensity. I was considering going to the ER. It lasted over an hour. After soap, cold water and a washcloth the itchy sensation started to subside but still felt inflamed. When my primary doctor's office opened I got right in and was dealt another jab in the, arm and another 6 day regiment of Prednisone. Man I hope this works this time round..

Since I haven't been back out in any of the gardens I'm thinking there's some trace of the oil on something I've touched again.. possibly my yard work shoes? I've had them on a few times since, there in the trash now. Not taking any chances.
