Waitresses who put on a quart of perfume before going to work. We went out for supper with a couple of friends last night and the wife (who has allergies) had to plug her nose every time one waitress walked by. This also applies to anyone anywhere who thinks they need to bathe in the stuff. Do they really stink that bad??

Maybe it was to cover the stench of rotting meat in the food.

That is, after all, the oft-cited reason behind the development of elaborate French sauces. B)

I have poison ivy spreading in different spots on my body and no return call from doctor..

I feel for ya Dave, especially after going through it myself just recently. Hopefully you'll get a return call today and get some meds to combat the BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH.. calamine lotion worked immediately for me to relieve the itchiness.

Thank Michael. Calamine helps a little but the blisters are big and many of them. Odd thing is new blisters appear in new places every day. Like it's spreading. Might have to go to Urgent Care. My Doctor's practice (a group of doctors) got taken over my St. Mary's hospital so everything has changed.

David, a nice COOL shower might go a long way towards some relief...... You don't want to open your pores with a hot shower, that will just drive it further into your skin.

30 minute drive to town after fasting for an ultrasound of my liver.

Think she was trying to push it all the way through me.

Got back home eating breakfast, finally and she calls and says they need to do it over because they lost the images somehow.

Car is in the shop tomorrow so have to go back Wed. Morning.

Injured my rt. knee somehow, no idea how.

It's swollen about 30% larger than the other one, hurts like jell to extend if fully.

I can walk OK with a little limp, so it's not as bad as it could be...but it's just weird.

Alternating heat and cold, a light wrap, intermittent massage, trying to stay off it mostly, but moving around enough to insure blood flow.

Really bites because I have actual physical work I HAVE to get done if I'm ever going to get out of here.

Mystery injuries suck.

Dealer wanted over 600 bucks to diagnose and replace a front hub on our Dodge Journey. Was 100 bucks just to diagnose it if I would have let them do it.

Already had a good idea what the issue was, hub or sensor but with both the traction control and anti lock lights on the bet was on sensor ring on the hub.

Took it to a little  shop here in the small farm town we live in and he hooked it up and it showed the ring on the hub was bad.

239 parts and labor is what he said it will cost! He didn't charge for the scan and even said if I wanted to fix it myself it was still no charge!!!

So I am letting them do the work! First time ever for us to let a shop do something other than an oil change or tire repair!

That is one of things I like least about getting old. Some Morning you become aware that some part of you is painful in a new, and exotic way. You don't remember what you did, or how you hurt it, but now it hurts and may stay that way for a few, (Hours-Days-Weeks-Months) No telling.

Some times you do everything to treat it, and nothing works. Sometimes you ignore it, and a week later, and the pain is gone, and you are back to normal.

Frustrating part of aging.....

Get Well Soon.

Try Cortisone cream over the counter might do it. I’m not allergic but I’m serious when I had jock itch I use butt paste for diaper rash gone in 24 hours. Butt paste works on  rashes..

They put me on steroids and another anti viral drug because I have it so bad Carl. My whole left arm. My chest. Both legs. Never had issue with poison ivy before. I've weeded that garden for years and never seen it or had poison ivy from working in it. Might be something else. Who knows.

Getting irritated beccause the first breeze of frigid cold wind blew in yesterday and still persists today. It's like 25 degrees (Celsius) in the sun but that wind is just bitter; had to put on a jacket in the middle of the day! Fall is coming, and with it, school. But starting college I at least don't need to ride the stupid bus anymore

My son started his last 'first day' of high school year this morning (Senior Year).  He came home this afternoon so I asked him how it was.  He said boring as the Internet was out so not much got done.   Ugh.....did no one think to check this before Day One?

Posted (edited)

When I was in high school, I never heard of that thing you call "Internet", and I managed to still learn things, and graduate.  :D

As far as the outage goes, maybe the Internet connection was fine the day before, and the outage just happened in the morning of the first day of school?

My Daughter is a High School English teacher. She had been at the school for a week, before the first students ever set foot on campus. Most schools have double checked everything before they see the students. That does not mean there won't be problems. Just means the staff is there and working hard, long before they see any kids. There are always small (or large) issues that crop up every year. Just the nature of the beast.

Amazon seller!? I ordered a gallon of cleaner wax for my 5th wheel. I received a completely different type of wax. I contacted the seller and they said Sorry…we’ll give you a refund and you can keep the product. Bonus!?? So I check my Visa account to see if the refund went through and find ANOTHER charge for the original amount. I messaged them again and am still awaiting a response.?

Greg, your experience, and millions of others like it, will eventually spell the end of Amazon, Temu and the like, if management does don't control bad things like this. So, far, everyone seems to be making money, but I hear more and more grumbling about fouled up orders and extra charges. It is enough to limit what a person buys online. And, when money gets tight, it is easy to limit purchases of the "fun Stuff" that makes up much of the Online Business world.

In Short, they need to police their sellers better, and stop the rip offs. It won't happen, but that is what they need to do.

The new Ford Pass App. I don’t understand why things just can’t be left alone. This new version is such a step backwards. There has been a lot of functionality lost, and things moved so they are more difficult to access. Used to be able to update the vehicles condition and location in real time, that’s gone. I can’t get it to update at all. Reading reviews on several sites (including the Ford App site) and there was not one positive review, but like everything else ford does the customers viewpoint means nothing.

Woke up this morning with a pain in my left knee like someone shoved an ice pick into it. Also when it happens it get incorporated iinto a dream.  I've got some arthritis in that knee and there is some position sleeping that triggers this. The weird thing is when I get up it goes away and I can walk with no issues. Wish I knew what the trigger is so I could avoid it.

You understand!  And as you stated it will not happen, and those online companies will stay afloat supported by all the people who buy online (one of the main reasons is that brick&mortar shops are quickly disappearing, and will continue to dwindle) regardless of the shopping experience.  Everything is online, online, online. Basically the online vendors have us by the short and curlys, so they don't care how bad your experience is. They know you will come back for more.
