A modeler named mike
I was trying to hang a 4 foot blacklight fixture with chain, from the curtain rod in a window for a Halloween display when somehow one of the bulbs came lose and went crashing down into a million pieces. It was everywhere and took about 3 hours to clean up.. it ended up a trick, not a treat..? on to plan B..
John M.
I'm not sure if I'm irked about this or not but last Friday, my mechanic checked my trusty Accord for a major power steering leak and couldn't find the source. He filled the power steering reservoir and told me to keep an eye on it. Since. then, the reservoir stayed full and I park the car in different spots at work and at home to check for the leak but not a drop was found on the ground. It's a quirky little car. That Plasticated Guy
I'm a type 2 diabetic and I'm having a problem getting one of my medications through the pharmacy of the store I work at that my doctor prescribed me. The medical plan through my store's company keeps rejecting the medication, that my doctor, my actual physician that I've been going to way before this started, has prescribed to me. I talked to the pharmacists and the information they provided me was that the medical plan rejected this medication was, get this, "trial of other alternatives required." Um, no, not happening. I'm not going to experiment with my health for something that will cost more than this medication, and it's already expensive, mess with me from the God-knows-what side effects, or both. So, because of that, and that I have an appointment with my doctor coming up in a few weeks, I'm not only going to have my doctor look into this, but I'm going to have this medication transferred to the Walmart pharmacy which the store it's in is just up the road from my store. I won't let the equivalent of an online HMO so-and-so mess with my health. 1
Ace-Garageguy
Constant whining about the same old thing, practically every day, sometimes several times a day. I'm NOT referring to anyone here, but some people it seems would rather wallow in self-pity and waste time placing blame on others for relatively minor issues that any adult should be able to take in stride. 'Bout the only place I whine is right here, where I know nobody's day will be spoiled by me letting off a little steam.

johnyrotten
Had what I'm going to call an "old guy" moment. Was helping out a much older friend of mine(she's in her seventies, I'm 43) return a generator. 20 something year old Customer service kid was pompous, rude, whatever you want to call it, without saying a word. Body language alone told the story. As someone with lightning quick temper, alot of self control was required. And executed. In the past now, thought I'd share. LennyB
Two months ago the supermarket I go to got a new manager and as they always do he decided he needed to rearrange the store. So for the past 8 weeks the store has been a mess and you can’t find anything. Last week I spent 20 minutes looking for refrigerated pie crust. No one who worked there could find them. This week they have now moved the soda for the third time. Other then the produce they have move just about everything else. In the 30 plus years I’ve been going here this is the worst arrangement I think it’s ever been. There is no logic to some of it. Meat department used to be beef, pork, chicken, turkey and then organic. Now it’s chicken, beef, turkey, pork, and then beef again. Organic is mixed in with everything. For better or for worse I hope this guy is there for a while because who knows what the next person will do.

TonyK
The wife has it, along with other back issues. She always has pain and says she takes an Advil sometimes when it flares up more than the everyday dealings. Takes some other prescription pills all the time but still in pain. TarheelRick
I finally got my Pinto back from the upholstery shop, he did an excellent job. One of my parts cars has the 3-spoke Ford GT steering wheel in it which I think will look better in my driver. Went to Harbor Freight and bought one of their steering wheel pullers. Used my other parts car as an experiment to make sure the puller would work. No problem the steering wheel popped right off, same with the second parts car with the GT wheel. Put the puller on my driver, began cranking on the center bolt and one of the side bolts stripped out. The kit has two different size bolts so I took the larger one, drilled out the hole, tapped it and tried again. Again it stripped out the hole. Drilled in a bit deeper, retapped, tried again, same results. I have been fighting this thing for four days. I have tried u-bolts around the steering wheel arms, through a 3/16 steel channel, it bent the steel channel. I straightened out the plate, welded some reinforcements in place, tried again and it cracked the steering wheel arms. As I see it my only option now is to swap steering assemblies with my parts car. However, I will also have to use the parts car ignition key because to remove the ignition key/lock mechanism requires the steering wheel to be removed.
LennyB
Driving to work today I had to stop for a school bus loading up a bunch of kids, several of which got out of cars after being driven to the bus stop. After loading the kids the bus drove to the next corner and took a left and then went a block further and dropped them off at the school. SERIOUSLY, the kits literally had a block and a half ride to school. What has this world come too? They could have probably walked to the school in less time then they stood their waiting.

I hear you, Ron. It is no fun, and can be truly horrific to live with. I hope it gets better. Mine has dialed itself back to just the odd twinge, to be replaced by screaming pains in my left shoulder from the torn rotator cuff. Wakes me up at 3am a couple night a week, now.

Of course, the great masses of illiterati on the interwebs would argue otherwise. Edited November 21 by Ace-Garageguy 2

They both had huge trailer hitches....... I wanted very much to chain the two together! (It's kind of a joke here that folks pull around an empty trailer just to be towing something....... ) 1
