Jordan 191 Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 It's funny that the box says 1:1 because your build looks 1:1! Very nice.
PatW Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Now that's neat! Well done ddk nice colours and detailed finish thanks for sharing.
Johan020 Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Great little manx Iam building one myself with a covair motor What did you do with the roof are those decals ?
Shardik Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 That is extrordinarily well done. It looks like I could drive it right off the screen (no way I'd drive it with that top, though ). By the way, who did the artwork in the background?
Sixties Sam Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Very cool buggy! Great color and detail! Sam
TooOld Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Beautifully done ! The engine , wheels and tires , and the paint all look great ! The windshield , seats , rollbar , and taillights all need upgrading from the kit pieces and yours are the best I've seen . . . too bad that windshield is so pricey .
Daddyfink Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Very nice! And those parts are really nice and well done!
ChrisR Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Very nice, looks great with the Revell wheels & tyres.
GeeBee Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Stunning build, I must get one of those windsheild frames for when I do mine, and now I know what to do with the Tamiya Beetle engine I have in the spares box ......
VW Dave Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Shardick - The artwork was done by the late Dave "Big" Deal, a close friend of Bruce Meyers and a Manx enthusiast/owner. I love this model too; looks righteous with the Revell wheels & tires, as well as the Motohashi windshield. Price aside, it's a gorgeous item. Having a real Meyers Manx in the garage, and building it in scale, the kit part wasn't going to work for me.
