Wildrice Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 Those of you that spray with Tamiya bottle paint what do you use to thin it?
ultraliner13 Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 When I spray Tamiya paint through my airbrush I use the tamiya thinners. Tamiya have thinner for both there arcrlic and enamel paints. You can also use the enamel thinner with humbrol paints. I hope the above helps. Cheers John
crispy Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 John is right on. Try to use the thinner of the same make. Although I have heard Gunze Mr. Thinner(or whatever it's called) works well. The acrylic paints from Tamiya require Tamiya X-20A thinner for dilution. Chris
Wildrice Posted November 23, 2007 Author Posted November 23, 2007 Thanks guys. Looks like its off to the LHS Saturday.
GeeBee Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 I've been using Isopropyl Alcohol for some time now, and still get great results, Tamiya's X-20A is around £2.00 for 46mls, 500mls of the Alcohol will cost me £5.00 with the shipping.
