Patrick2005 Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 I was wondering if anyone casts the parts to make a Cobra R from the Revell Mustang Cobra kit? All it really is is a front and rear fascia and the spoiler.
hgbben Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 I believe this is what Patrick is after, the 2000 Cobra R
freakshow12 Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Well, it would be a pretty big build to do it right. Front bumper, hood, rear spoiler, rims, exhaust, recaro seats, then there is the 4 valve 5.4 with its special intake and the t56. It's almost transkit territory. I would build one. I have had a ride in all 3 cobra R s. They are fun cars
Devilsnake98 Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 That would be a sweet transkit, id build at least one. The 5.4 from the lightning is a 2 valve, sohc engine. Maybe could use the lightning block with the 99 cobra heads, then scratch build the intake manifold. Just an idea.
freakshow12 Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Oh yeah. The rear seat delete and fuel cell too
Patrick2005 Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 All I really cared about was the exterior components. I could probably handle everything else.
Abell82 Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 You are oversimplifiying it a bit as the Cobra is quite different. BUT if you want a place to start, you should buy one of these.... An old x mods Mustang body kit... It's not exactly right, but it will get you in the ball park, sort of. It is 1 / 28th or 1/26th scale, so it will have to be stretched to work right.
99monguse Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I seem to remember this kit being made, no?
