MsDano85gt Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Danno85GT the Mercury Capri is pree much a mustang with different body lines no where close to a Escort lol Bigempty what engine did you go with? i was reffering to the European capri's pre 1979 (fox platform) the older bodystyle seems like it slightly resembles this ford style......
MsDano85gt Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 here are some capri pics want to say amt has a couple kit variations i would have taken a pic of the kit i have except its at storage
MsDano85gt Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 shapes of the rear windows are slightly different, wheelbase looks like it may be slightly longer too but overall same look
bigempty Posted February 16, 2014 Author Posted February 16, 2014 here are some capri pics want to say amt has a couple kit variations i would have taken a pic of the kit i have except its at storage Cool pic mate, but that wasn't what i intended to build, this build is a tribute for the late Paul Walker aka Brian O'Connors from the fast and furious, this Ford Esprit MK1 RS1600 is featured in the F&F6
heinz74 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 the euro Capri was a much bigger car..it shared some of its drivetrain with the Taunus ..it was also available with a v6 engine.. the Escort really is a small car even for our standards..
Kennyboy Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Keep it up Nor! Cant wait to see it with the Goldies on it!! Top notch mate!
MsDano85gt Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 i was just merely shareing that the cars have that euro look and seem to share some design cues it looks like just stating they are sort of similar looking cars
bigempty Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 i was just merely shareing that the cars have that euro look and seem to share some design cues it looks like just stating they are sort of similar looking cars no offense mate, but i kind of agree although all of the late 60's and early 70's kind of having the same design cues
bigempty Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 got some emblem attached, using PORSCHE metal sticker
om617 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Looks great The MK1 Escort and MK1 Capri shared some engines and that`s about it,they are complete opposite bodystyles.
