BKcustoms Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) I'm planning on a paintjob that will require masking and spraying graphics over stainless steel metalizer. The problem I'm having is the tape seems to polish the metalizer when I remove it. Should I just clear over it before taping or is there some kind of trick I don't know about?? Any help is appreciated! Billy Edited January 26, 2014 by BKcustoms
LoneWolf15 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Billy , Take a square of soft t- shirt and polish the entire body before you tape off . This way , you have an overall appearance to your steel finish .
935k3 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Try wiping a thin coat of future over the area you want to mask. After masking and painting you can wipe the Future off with ammonia or Windex. It will come off and not affect the underlying paint.
