I would use Tamiya rattle can Gold and Gloss Black if I were building a HUG. After the colors are applied and cured, I would shoot a coat or two of Tamiya TS-13 gloss clear, apply the decals, then bury the decals in more clear once the decals have cured.

The official Hurst color was in fact Hurst Gold, same as Tiger Gold for 65/66 Pontiacs...

If you desire the exact match for these cars, "MCW" (Model Car World) does indeed carry the color in 3/4 oz. and 2.0 oz. premixed air brush lacquer. The ordering number is 2002 "Gold Metallic". He also offers it in 4.5 oz. aerosol lacquer, #2692 "Gold Metallic". According to MCW's Reference guide, this color is indeed the idential paint mix formula as the infamous 1965-1966 Pontiac "GTO Tiger Gold Metallic, AND 1967's "Coronado Gold Metallic". :P Fury3

Can anyone give me the actual paint codes on the hemi under glass 68 barracuda?

According to "PaintRef.com" the code for "Tiger Gold" is "O".

GM code "WA3770".

The closest color from the Plymouth line up in '68 would have been "J" code "Ember Gold".
